Hwange National Park

Zimbabwe's largest park and one of Africa's most underrated. During the dry season, elephant herds converge on Hwange's waterholes in concentrations that have to be seen to be believed — early mornings are when animals are most active, and the light at that hour does things to the bush that no photograph fully captures. For me, Hwange is where Zimbabwe earns its reputation.

The Okavango offers safaris suited to every style — mokoro rides gliding almost silently through channels, walking safaris through flooded islands, game drives across dry savannahs, and boat trips through deeper waterways — often all within the same day. I've been coming here for decades and the Delta still surprises me.

Chobe National Park

Chobe is home to some of the largest elephant concentrations in Africa, and the Chobe River at sunset — watching herds come down to drink — is one of those moments that makes people understand why they came. I guide here regularly. The lion prides in this park behave differently to anywhere else I've worked — there's a reason I keep making content about them.

Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi sits at the heart of the Okavango Delta — a mix of seasonal swamps, floodplains, dry savannahs, and mopane woodland that produces some of the most diverse game viewing on the continent. Endangered wild dog sightings here are among the best in Africa. Most visitors never make it this far in. That's exactly why it's worth the effort.

Wildlife Photography

I've been photographing wildlife professionally for three decades, and on a photography-focused safari, that experience becomes yours. We'll work the golden hour properly, position for behaviour rather than just proximity, and spend time understanding why a shot works rather than hoping it does. You'll learn to anticipate animal movement, read light across different seasons, and capture moments that tell the story of what you actually experienced.

Composition & Technique

There's a difference between a photo of Africa and a photograph that makes people feel Africa. We'll focus on composition techniques that work in the bush — rule of thirds, leading lines, negative space — and how to adapt them when wildlife doesn't cooperate with your framing. I'll teach you how to use your camera's settings intentionally rather than leaving everything to auto mode. Whether you're shooting on a DSLR, mirrorless, or phone, we'll maximize what your equipment can do and understand its limitations so you're not fighting your gear.
